what's the point - you would be soaking wet if used in a real storm.

  The point is that most umbrellas break in high wind, do they're trying to make an umbrella that doesn't break in high wind. It isn't so much about not getting wet, let's face it, if you go out into a hurricane you're an idiot. It's about not having to buy a new umbrella. The amount of broken umbrellas I see on the ground if I'm out on a windy day, so I think this is a great idea. Why is the Internet so pessimistic about everything, I saw a comment in here and knew instantly it would be slagging the video off

  These umbrellas have been around for quite a while, they're sold by Senz as the "original storm umbrella", and you can find them on places like Amazon as well as senzumbrellas.com . Not only are they strong, but they're shaped so that the longer "tail" part of the umbrella catches the wind and keeps the umbrella horizontal so that it is less likely to get blown inside out or get snatched out of your hands.
