Why Britain Uses Separate Hot and Cold Taps
Why don't they use mixer taps in the UK? British plumbing still leaves a lot to be desired.

What about showers? No mixer taps on showers? I would assume that in the older construction homes, that would cause the same issue. Any insights? Note: Not a plumber.
