This argument is terrible. He's arguing that men should be selfish and only concerned with themselves and what they get out of a relationship. Men's desire to pay for the meal is part of their innate desire to lovingly serve and protect their wife. And on the flip side, women should not feel slighted by this as it's done out of love. Men are inherently stronger than women. It's why women don't compete against men in the Olympics. Serving and protecting women is a way for a man to lay down his strength in service to a lady.

To further my point, by this argument, if we ever have a draft again it should apply equally to women, and not just men.

Well, i dont consider women as weaker than men, and i dont think they should earn less for any job or be treated differently than men. Even if there are men that are stronger than others, well, we live in a world where physical strength is less important for our lives, or our professions, so why should that matter while dating? lets break free from these derelict cultural rules and start seeing our partners for who they are and not by what they have between their legs.

That's not his argument at all. His argument is that a relationship is a balance. The desire to pay quickly disappears when there is no offer on the table. It's no longer an honour to get to pay but a duty to have to pay. That doesn't mean that the woman has to pay, it just means she should offer. Notice that he said the woman should offer and the man should pay, while simplistic, that's the point of his argument. This has nothing to do with strength. And further to that, the point of his getting into earning potential has a flip side. If the woman has a large net worth and the guy does not, it might be appropriate that she pay on occasion. Again, it's a matter of balance and give-and-take. The whole point of an actual relationship.
