As best as i can put it into laymens terms. Tera, is a prefix you might already be familiar with these (kilo, mega, giga, tera). Bassically Tera means one trillion (1,000,000,000,000). Electronvolt, a unit of kinetic energy. 1 Tera electronvolt is about the kinetic energy of a flying mosquito (I.e not very much) to put this in comparison to power a 10 watt light bulb for 1 second it would be 600 Exa electronvolt (Exa, is a Quintillion or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000)
