Concerning the plug for Ed Catmull's self-aggrandizing book on creativity: Ed Catmull was the main architect and driving force of the illegal wage-fixing cartel in the 3D animation industry. Pixar, Disney, Lucasfilm, Dreamworks and others all illegally conspired to fix wages and limit the careers of their employees.
