Seriously, we needed a video to tell us this? That its better to run because you'll get home and out of the rain faster?? No s*** Sherlock!!! Man I hate minute physics. They explain the most simplest things in the nerdiest of ways. Well thanks, now I know that next time it rains, I shouldn't stand still in the street. I can't believe I've made that stupid mistake my whole life

Well if you know it will rain 5 minutes but it will take you 10 minutes running home you know you better be 5 minutes late and not that wet by standing still or going slow. YOu could actually make a function for that. Well for that function you would need a Wet to time scale where you factor the importance of staying dry compared to the importance to have more time. I love Math and i love minute physics. Also its explained perfectly.

But minute physics doesn't rule. They concluded get out of the rain as fast as possible to stay driest? useless.

This video seems to make the simplifying assumption that the body is shaped like a prism (i.e. has perfectly vertical flat sides). In reality, I would imagine that our heads/shoulders act as 'mini-umbrellas', that deflect some of the water that hits us from above or from *almost* above. In that case, walking may well be a better choice, depending on the size of your head, absorbency of your hair, the distance from the bus stop to your house, etc...

Yeah, this video assumes that the body is shaped like a prism, which it isn't. The real answer is as simple as this: Running as fast as possible while leaning forward will minimize both the water that lands on your head as well as on the side of your body. Not exactly that hard to figure out....
