Its actually caused by the Inner Central Sun. Since the Earth Is hollow it has two Polar Openings. Its the Inner Sun illuminating out of the polar openings that causes the aurora borealis. And I stand firm on this statement. Check it out yourself.

^ That's so far from true, you ought to be fired from any job requiring even minimal reading skills. I sent you a message about that bullshit you just spread. I hope you read it better than you did the "hollow earth" theories. It's all crap. Soak of the real science.

For the solar storm to coincidentally strike Mercury, Venus and Earth, they would have to be lined up (in occultation). A better way to phrase it would be to say that the solar storm reaches the distance of the orbit of Mars, Venus, Earth. It's a shame that we'll be seeing fewer and fewer of these, because the sun is probably going into a very, very long quiet period, with no sun spots.

In fact we just come off of one of those "quite" period and now the sun will be more active for some years ... Anyway the activity of the sun is a cycle during 11 years, so you never really have to wait very long to see them coming back

Doorsfreak it is time to drop the Lord of the Rings books and accept facts. We wouldn't have the gravity on the surface that we do without the mass of the earth being a solid sphere. Just because some crystal wielding, candle dancing, joss stick burning, new age pseudo witch thinks repeating this nonsense online makes it true...don't make it so.

Try researching the hollow earth before you try to disprove it.

For information it's all about magnetic field and not gravity ... Aurora are created because the magnetic shield of the earth is not a complete sphera and catch some particles at the magnetic poles (those are not exactly the geographical poles) and it's those caught particles that makes the aurora

Here is a video from Nasa.gov that shows the light illuminating from the polar opening. http://www.nasa.gov/mov/133778main_FUV_640x480.mov
