So tricky... all the diamonds are the same. They have a shaded gradient, with the bottom part darker than the top, gradually changing. But, with the top so pale, the top diamonds look all dark. So, our eyes are tricked into thinking that the top diamonds are a solid color, and as you go further down, the diamonds seem to get paler. But they don't. Very, very sneaky.

Photoshop doesn't always mean fake though. It can be used as a drawing program to simply create an illusion like this. This effect happens because of the way that our brains process what we are seeing, not because it is "fake" or possibly drawn in Photoshop. This is an excellent optical illusion...wow!
