if he was a true scientist, he wouldn't think in a limit of countries. Scientists sees it more like humans who moved around the glob and evolved. With Internet and traveling, countries have less and less meaning to scientists.

@guest: I didn't insult your beloved Neil. But it is obvious that you don't know how to handle a conversation as a grown up yet. Good luck in your learning.

This is just a pick on the great leader Trump, to show that America has become one of the most advanced countries in the world all because of science. He's trying to convey this message in the context of Trump's own little world.

What Tyson fails to appreciate is the religious nature of humans. He wants to believe he doesn't believe in God. But in reality he does. He follows with extreme religious devotion the scientific cult he's a part of. When people outside the cult question the cult's doctrine he calls them a heretic to the faith (a science denier). This is the modern religion of our times.

The problem with you religious people is, that you try to make an argument without proof and then become so arrogant as to call other people liers. Show me the evidence and I will believe in your god. Otherwise shut up and keep your invisible friend to yourself.

Well, if you delete/burn all the books about religions in history and all the knowledge held by humans, then will our the future selfs still believe in Jesus or any other prophet. I don't think so. But you can do the same for Science, and be sure that the same theories will show up again in the same format. gravity will still be the same.

@omarbellamine: True about science. that it will recover from scratch again. But it's also the case about religion. People believe in religion because they prefer to give the control to something else. Because they think they are safer that way. Also because people see pattern whenever something happens twice or even once. Without a scientific approach, of course their conclusion will be wrong. Like superstition. There people who believe in astrology: The power of planet is so big, that it must have an influence on their behavior. They cannot accept that they are the master of their soul.

@DaveJoyce: if you say that nature is his religion, Neil would probably agree with you. Mathematics and logic would be his holly book. The difference with other religions and cults is that nature isn't created by humans and doesn't contain lies.
