No mention of nuclear energy. As Bill Gates would say, “that is just so disappointing†https://youtu.be/9xe3BWPsBTU

Dave, what happened last year in North Carolina? http://www.businessinsider.com/hurricane-florence-north-carolina-nuclear-power-plants-preparations-2018-9 Same problem Bill Gates addresses is also not solved by nuclear energy if they are also shut down durning storm. Besides that, didn’t some US state just stop building a new plant because it couldn’t get it finished, even though the already spent 9 billion?

That’s completely irrelevant. Bill was just citing one issue with reliability. Wind and solar will never in a million years be our primary sources of power. They simply do not have the necessary energy density. And regulating existing and reliable industries out of existence because of a theoretical future prediction of doom and groom that has never born out into reality is a fool’s errand. But if you care about co2 for some odd and illogical reason, you should be campaigning against wind and solar and *for* nuclear. They are nothing but virtue signaling feel-goodery industries.

Clearly a biased source, but you can’t argue with the reality of the situation.

no mention of natural human instincts: survival. everything we do turns around survival. Even a billionaire who wants to open more factories, use cheap energy, cheap labour to make more benefit. Why does he need it if he already has more than what he can spend during his entire life? To ensure the surviving of his gens, his grand kids, ... Nautre instinct tells us to help your self survive. If it's more efficient to make an alliance with others, do it. but if you have to choose between you and your ally, save yourself!

Yes Dave, one German company may be broke, that’s business. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/31/climate/nuclear-power-project-canceled-in-south-carolina.html Happens to nuclear projects just as well. The nuclear leaves ten times as much dept.

But the inherent potential for nuclear is so much greater because of the energy density. Wind and solar are intermittent and unreliable that’s why they require such massive amounts of land to operate.
