I'd settle for getting government out of the healthcare business altogether (no politicians to lobby).

Wow, you completely missed the point. The government not being in control of the healthcare is why your healthcare is so expensive in the first place. Bernie Sanders is right, you know.

I don't need the gov't lording over me telling me what plans I can and can't have, while the politicians have their own plans (not subject to the train wreck that is obamacare). The American people deserve better. BTW, Bernie is dangerous old man (not to mention senile).

Wow, how ignorant can one person become... The reason the american healthcare system is so poor is because they leave everything up to the consumers (like you advocate for). That leads to everyone needing health insurance instead of being universally covered. That in turn drives up prices and lowers the standard of healthcare. Didn't you watch the video? The US could definetly implement a system of universal healthcare (like THE REST OF THE WESTERN WORLD) and achieve as cheap and good healthcare as the rest of us. But because of idiots like you, who don't understand the power of paying and organizing something TOGETHER, it's a roadblock getting there. Instead you prefer sitting there "Hurr durr, I don't want to pay for my neighbour's sick child", and don't understand that it would be much cheaper and better all in all if you did.

If I want to buy a catastrophic plan with a high deductible that only covers me when I have a tragic accident, that's my right. You have no right to tell me I can't buy the type of insurance I want to buy. But that's exactly what ObamaCare does with it's "essential health benefits". I don't need you to tell me which services are essential. Just leave me alone.

I see he conveniently leaves out the effects of overinflated wages of unionized nurses and the underpayment of medicaid and medicare.

Are you a lobbyist just creating new accounts to seem like more people? lol... Universal healthcare is the way to go. Cheaper and better. Like, uhh, the rest of the world. (duuh)

This is the problem with both democrat and republican plans on healthcare. They just want to throw tax payer money at the insurance companies — which does nothing to fix the problem. We need to simply legalize group insurance across state lines. There's no reason there needs to be anyone on the individual market.

Name one thing the Federal Government has done efficiently and within budget? Amtrack? No. USPS? No. Affordable Care Act? Not a chance. Who wants to deal with the IRS to get approval for medical procedures? (For those who don't know, thousands of new IRS staff was hired under ACA to deal with the expanding bureaucracy) The only people who want government in charge of healthcare is politicians who stand to gain power and money and will not have to use gov healthcare. "A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have." - Thomas Jefferson.
