Doesn't sound as good as even a decent human player. Timing and velocity sounds too robotic.

  I agree. There's no emotion. The best musical pieces aren't technically precise.

  But I thought the point was that it captured human performances with all their imprecisions and nuances and then played it back the same way. Probably a blinded test is required to determine whether or not it succeeds in doing so. (Although ultimately, if you are not going to play the piano, why not just listen to a good recording?)

  Yeah, that would be interesting to listen to a comparison. Maybe they just chose somewhat emotionless pieces for this video.

if it were two robotic arms with two hands and ten fingers, that would be impressive. This is just a lever on EVERY key. duh!
