kinda would have been more fitting ol mate who finished first had a heart and let the guy struggling get the gold. I'm sure he would be remembered more for that rather than grabbing a greedy gold!

It's not greedy to win because you're the best competitor.

Or think of it this way. What if you placed 4th because a guy who should have lost was helped over the line by his brother? Just sayin

No, Tom, you're quite right.....it's not the Olympics. It's the World Series in Mexico. they are both Olympians by virtue of the fact that they have taken part in the Olympics (twice by my reckoning). Alistair see. here helping his brother Jonny is the Olympic champion. Jonny, being helped by his brother was the Olympic silver medalist in Rio, finishing just a few seconds behind his brother.

Title was just a little misleading, that's all. Likewise he didn't "sacrifice" anything it looks like. RHino, getting gold isn't "greedy", it's part of the sport. It really is ok to win. Likewise it is ok to stop and help your brother who's near the finish and wandering around like his physical exhaustion has now affected his mental health. Regardless of the rules, if that was my brother I'd probably do the same.

I was wondering, and you might be too, what they did was not against the rules because it was an athlete helping another. Good stuff! "But their appeal was rejected because the International Triathlon Union ruled that "athletes can get help from other athletes". http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/37406430/did-the-brownlee-brothers-break-the-rules
