At the begining, the guy says octopi for the plural of octopus but this is only a commonly used unofficial name for more than one octopus. As silly as it sounds, the scientific way of refering to more than one octopus is octopuses

The reason is that octopus is not derived from the Latin, which has a plural ending in -i, but it is derived from Greek octo (eight) + pous (foot). If you really wanted to be pedantic about it, the plural of octopus should be octopodes. Same goes for that flat-footed animal, platypus.
