A classic example of over engineering a solution. The Thai rescue teams are having great success leading the boys out through diving. So far 8 have been rescued.... by the time this Elon Musk submarine gets there, there will be no one to rescue.

  Yeah doesnt change the fact that this might be usefull in the future and as well showing that Elon uses his recources to help instead of making profit. Better PR than a TV ad and more helpfull as well.

  My comment is in relation to the videos title, a sub to help save Thai soccer team, Not a global view with future possibilities, as the video doesn't suggest it was made for that specific reason. I didn't realise you knew Elon Musk to know his exact reasons for doing something.... please tell him I enjoyed his car sent into space stunt :)

  You're absolutely right that Elon doesn't use his resources to make a profit. Which is why SpaceX and Tesla have yet to make a dime — they're running purely off of investment capital. As far as I'm aware, the only profit Elon made was through PayPal. ——— If you want your company to be sustainable, you have to be concerned with making it profitable.
