Well done kurzgesagt. This was a good one!! However, I fail to see the benefit of setting up a permanent base on Mars. Let's visit there maybe just for fun, but having a permanent presence? What's the point? I'd rather move to the middle of Antarctica then Mars. Like he said at the beginning of the video "Mars is terrible"

  Ignoring my daft comment above, and referring back to Dave's comment. Its an interesting topic which is debated depending on what you (i.e. someone) feels is important... Should we invest in space exploration, or focus more on what we still don't know here. With regard to setting up a permanent base on Mars, I'm all for trying things like this out as nothing is 'permanent'... and we only progress by venturing forth (whether it be in space or on earth)

  Right, it's definitely a case of "it's about the journey, not the destination". There's nothing inherently worthwhile about Mars other than the fact that it's there.

  ... that we know of at present (although you may well be right) - we are only now understanding just how important having fibre in our diet is. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-46827426 || So, we only know what we know based on current tech and advances... but its an ever moving/changing beast.
