Nope, the plane has certain safety protocols that will stop it exploding if it gets struck by lightning. This happens more then you would think.

I was in a plane that was hit by lightening many years ago between San Francisco and L.A. Not only was that kind of weather unusual for the area, the attendants all said they had never been through that experience before either. The noise and light are frightening but although turbulent we landed safely. Not something I want to experience again.
