I have no idea about sky diving (I subscribe to not jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft), are there not rules or guidelines regarding appropriate moments and places to jump to mitigate the risk of this happening? I was surprised it happened to 8 of them. Great upload anyway, thanks cyberhound.

I think the guy who did those hang gliding tours moved to Florida to take a stab at parachuting.

I am a skydiver, and one of three things happened here: - A misdrop (it is the responsibility of the skydiver to check the "spot" before jumping) - They did a "tracking" or "atmonauti" jump (given the atmo reference this seems most likely), with these kinds of jumps you can get way off course - They all opened their parachutes too low (somewhat unlikely that they all lost track of altitude) All of these are errors on the skydivers' part, although misdrops are sometimes attributed to pilot error (many don't dare ask the pilot for a second run as the extra fuel costs don't make dropzone owners very happy). This was entirely preventable...
