I saw this video shortly after I bought my table saw a few years ago. Gives you a healthy respect for the tool..... about a year ago my brother in law lost the top of his thumb while using his table saw. 😳

  Yeah, they saved the tip and took it to the hospital with them, but they couldn’t do anything with it.

Yes after decades of home improvement I finally got a SawStop saw a couple years back. Won’t stop the kickback but will save the fingers.

  I think I might have seen this demoed? https://youtu.be/eiYoBbEZwlk have you ever had it triggered? Seeing as how it ruins the blade and stopping mechanism I’d hate to get a false positive.

  No false positives. The five times it triggered were from contact with my hand. Only needed stitiches twice. Just kidding. Never triggered. If the saw is off you can touch the blade and the sensor light on the front will blink so you can tell it detected contact. It is remarkably sensitive.
