Just keeps going.
Someone dropped a cup on the floor, found it a couple minutes later doing this with the help of a fan.

This is clearly not a coincidence. The fan blowing tangential to the circular path of the cup is a giveaway. Not to mention the likelihood of the cup landing with an angle relative to the radius chair base within an acceptable range of values. Outside of this range of values, the eccentricity of the cup's path would rapidly diminish the the overall travel time. I declare it was rigged, with trial and error until they got it right.

I claim otherwise! think of all the times cups have been dropped next to fans such as this one. Those all failed epically. And no one cared or even really noticed. Thus, even if this is a one in a million chance of working; it is entirely feasible because millions of cups have fallen before this one and it was documented and brought to your attention only because of its peculiarity. That or it is black magic.
