Ideally we would make better use of the land along the lines of Joel Salatin at Polyface Farms, but if they’re not going to do that, this does seem like a better solution than the huge monocultures we see with all the fertilizer and pesticides those require. But I can’t imagine this is as nutritionally rich as a diverse organic farm with rich and healthy soil.

Agreed. If they really listened to those plants, I think they'd hear little tiny voices saying "What the f**k is this place!? Please help me, I need sun, rain and some stinking dirt!"
