Because it is a thorough yet informative tear down of a simple device that nonetheless can be either poorly made, to great risk of your possibly expensive devices, or well made. After watching the video you will know the difference. Also it is a great example of how electronics are not just black boxes but with just a modicum of prior knowledge you can make sense of some of their building blocks. I found it fascinating and well done. No problem of you did not, but that is why the heck it is on here.

Personally I come on this site to watch amazing videos, I want to watch the best of Youtube. I don't want to watch a 28 minute video on USB ports, a video which could probably have been summed up in 5 minutes if he didn't dither so much. I find it frustrating listening to him, and it's 28 minutes about USB ports. There are much more fascinating things in the world that could have been on here. If I did have an interest in USB ports, I'd Youtube it myself. And that would be the lamest thing I could ever Youtube. So I agree, what the heck is this doing here?

Do they take requests? Because I would love an hour long video on the history of shoe laces please. Followed up by a 30 minute in depth analysis on the varying colours of dust. And please have them presented by a guy who has no idea on how to present or edit videos. Thanks!
