Tip for filming...use a tripod or something to set the camera on. Don't walk around moving stuff around (ie shovel or chair) with the camera in your hand

  That's a good tip for filming a high quality film, not for filming a rare, spontaneous event when the logical thing to do is use the camera that's in your pocket.
