*Spoiler Alert* The freed chocolate-piece is subtracted from the center line. In post-editing to show "A-B", the top pieces of the chocolate bar are switched to a group that are cut slightly differently, so as to not look strange in the final results. Notice the difference when freeze-framing at 0:10 vs 0:15.

Your name is a little ironic given how wrong you are with your explanation. The trick is all about the irregularly sized rectangular pieces along the diagonal cut.

You're mistaken Straightuplogic. Each rectangle along the reassembled diagonal cut is just a little bit shorter than the former rectangle. The difference is made less obvious by leaving a slight space along the diagonal.

I think you are all wrong. If you pause just after the "cuts" are made you can clearly see that both the single piece, and the vertical row of 3 along the left hand side are not from the original bar. The "cuts" of the single piece that are adjacent to the other pieces are clearly the clean outer edges of the bar it originally came from (not this bar). But rmoseson is partly right that the space along the diagonal cut at the end is clearly intentional to distract and mislead to keep the illusion whole. If you watch it in real time even more than once it's still very convincing though.
