I've been in China & Hong Kong & seen this first hand. You'd be amazed at how strong the scaffolding is! And how thick the lower level ones are! What frightens me the most is how none of these guys wears safety harnesses. Typical in China from what I can see -- with so many people life is cheap, and you can always find somebody willing to risk it, so why bother with safety?
