If you are still confused after watching it, it's because the explanation sucks. They key isn't "common knowledge". The key is this: A, B, and C are there. You know how A+B alone plays out(second night), and so does C, so C is basically just waiting for A+B to resolve itself, and when it doesn't he THEN knows that he must be C (green-eyed and part of the problem). So now you know how A+B+C plays out, and so does D, who is waiting for the resolve at the third day, and when it doesn't happen he realizes the problem is actually A+B+C+D. etc, etc, etc. The problem literally builds on itself, but isn't explained quite the right way (nor have I given it justice, but this is just a comment section.) The number 100 is there to throw you off, and figuring out 2 or 3 people are just "steps" to figuring out any number, which they sort of glossed over real quick in the video. TL;DR If you don't get it, don't worry, the explanation sucked for laymen.

Looking around and seeing ONLY people with green eyes would probably lead me to think I also have green eyes...
