Posted in "scary"? Some people watch too much West World. AI is by definition artificial. It's not real. Computers will never take over the world and Skynet is not a thing. This thing was given a set of parameters to follow (being incentivized to go from point A to point B) The sheer number of "smart" people worried about AI is astonishing. Just shows to prove that even complete fools can be smart and intelligent.

Exactly. If you take a humanoid model and icentivize locomotion, you are going to get humanoid walking. After all, all humans everywhere walk more or less the same way. What would have been more "scary" is if the model performed ballet or figured out how to fly. Don't get me wrong...I think it is cool work. But not really very surprising and certainly not scary. (Though some of the models are funny.)
