  Innovation Dave... eventually something useful may come out of it. Mobile/cell Phones are just a commodity or tool, the real value is the information we get through them... whether it be for work, a game, or even allowing us to crassly state (in my case) what is or isn’t a ‘best of YouTube’ Wafer thin, roll out, disposable devices that cost next to nothing may be the future (I’ve no idea) and a fold out phone is just beginnings of such technology. I’m all for invention and innovation :). In the meantime, it would be great if someone from boyt would add an EDIT button.

  Absolutely, and you can bet your bottom dollars Apple has a prototype foldable display in their labs. But I simply predict a lot of this stuff we see in concept will never make its way into an actual product (that goes beyond a gimmick) and has actual staying power. Good design has a thousand “nos” that ultimately produce a yes. This concept is a definite no from me.

Point of the foldable phone is so it would protect the screen. Why the hell does it fold the wrong way?
