As a parent I can just imagine the joy the mom and dad must be feeling, let alone the kid's obvious wonder. We have friends who have a deaf child who is at the right age for this, but sadly she cannot undergo the surgery because she has other medical problems. It's tough to know she could be helped in better circumstances.

I dont understand why the baby needs to be fixed, as a deaf person, myself I am functioning in the world the way I want to and I am definitely a happy person. Its nothing wrong to be deaf. We are proud of our culture, traditions, language, history, and many more
