That's one place we don't need any more efficiency. Stop cutting down all the trees, you crazy persons.

Nothing wrong if it's done sustainably. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think after replanting here they can be harvested again in like 20 to 30 years. It's the more long growing hardwoods that can present more of an issue with sustainability.

1GuyGuy is wrong. So long as new trees are planted, every single tree cut down represents a carbon credit: we use a machine (the tree) to convert CO2 in the atmosphere into a fixed solid form (again, the tree). Don't burn the wood, and eventually bury it under the ground, and that is what "carbon sequestration" is. Make sure to plant new trees.
