All the small circles actually move in a straight line.

I really hate this video... not because of the content (which is interesting), but because of the "advertisment" that it is a crazy illusion. There is a spinning circle and some points of the circle move along a straight line. That is not an illusion, nor crazy.

Agree also. The speeds of the points aren't even constant: they vary in such a way that they align to create a circle with constant radius. So it's not even a surprising piece of geometry. No illusion.
