100 Terabit per what? Seconds, hours, it's lifetime?

  You are technically correct of course that without a time component that is a measurement of data amount, not data transfer speed. But we commonly speak of things like "100 megabit" Ethernet or a "gigabit switch", where the "per second" is simply assumed. So it's 100 terabits per second.
