So all we need is to create a mirror around a black hole, fire some lazers… develop a black hole bomb... and we're good! Who needs Elon Musk, Dave and I will pick up some mirrors from our local DIY stores!

  Yeah, that was pretty far fetched. It didn't even address the glaring time dilation problem: If you managed to make it to a black hole, time would slow down so considerably that your entire civilization would die off in the time it took you to grab the first mirror.
