There's unnecessary arrogance at play here. You can't process UV rays better than nature ever figured out how to do (notice the personification of nature? Unconscious understanding of God). Even if you can develop a process that suits your purposes more than a green leaf does, you're still utilizing nature to do it. You're not doing it better than nature. You're just adapting nature to your purposes.

"Better" is in the eye of the beholder. I would say it is arrogant to say we could never do anything "better" than evolution has done. It's hard to do in many areas, easier in some. And please don't bring "god" into this.
