  I was skeptical at first of this too, but after boyt posted that link I looked further. Those reflections are pre-rendered. Even though it looks like a 3D model it's actually a bunch of different viewing angles that you see when moving side to side. They have demo'd it a few times on Adam Savage's Tested.
