How did this get +46/-1? Is the next video going to be ten minutes of paint drying?

  You're comparing paint drying to a self feeding fire that will last 14+ hours with no maintenance? You may find it boring, I found this amazing

  I guess if you could build a painting setup and prepare a room, for the machine to then for the next 14 hours paints itself. Yeh! then we'd be just as impressed. Very good video, great tip, especially when you have to normally feed a fire much more, and it'll often burn a lot faster.

I loved this and found it very entertaining, but I need to point out that conditions were perfect. It was very well seasoned wood, very uniform in shape, chain sawed, with excellent dry tinder and kindling, and lit with a lighter. Even the rain probably helped more than it hurt by preventing the fire from propagating outside the pit. In other words, your mileage will not only vary, but it will be considerably less. Still, it's fun to see something work perfectly.
